You’ve got plenty of things on your to-do list this season. Whether you’re attending
a festive party, or hosting a holiday meal, these last minute purchases from
our pastry case combined with minimal amounts of work at home can save you
time and hassle without sacrificing flavor or presentation.
Warm Pecan Tart with Mascarpone Whipped Cream
Preheat oven to low temperature. Place tarts on baking sheet lined
with parchment paper
and slide into oven for a few minutes to warm through slightly. With
a mixer, whip 1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup mascarpone and 2 tablespoons
powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Spoon over tarts and serve.
Grilled Pumpkin Bread with Cinnamon Syrup
Bring 1 cinnamon stick, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1/3 cup water just to a boil
in a small saucepan and remove from heat. Let stand 15 minutes. Strain
syrup into an airtight container; cover and chill. When ready to serve,
slice pumpkin bread into thick slices and grill over medium heat. Use whipped
cream for a rich topping and drizzle with cinnamon syrup.
Frozen Affogato with Chocolate Syrup and Cream
Purchase an assortment of our housemade biscotti. We like the chocolate
almond variety the best, but they’re all darn good. Place one piece in each
bowl and spoon a large scoop of our espresso gelato over top. Drizzle
with chocolate syrup, dust with some cocoa powder, and top with
a dollop of whipped cream.
