After a season of parties, holiday feasts and Christmas baking, it can be hard to gear yourself up for another night spent in the kitchen. If you're throwing a party to ring in the new year, we've got an action plan for you that involves little, to no actual cooking. Some assembly is required, but you've just finished putting together everyone's Christmas gifts, so this should be easy.
Enter the humble crostini--perfect little toasts with an assortment of toppings.
The action plan is simple:
Grab a baguette or two and have us slice it.
Stock up on our house-made hummus and pesto.
Pick up fresh produce and herbs.
Visit our olive bar.
Select your favorite soft cheese. (We chose Milton Creamery Quark).
Find a good pate, salami, or smoked salmon.
The only magic you've got to work is toasting the baguette. Preheat oven to 350. Lay slices out flat on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Slide into oven and bake until golden-brown and toast-y.
Once the toast has cooled, top with your favorite combinations for easy-peasy party food.
Happy New Year!
